This Privacy Policy describes how Church Nudge (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates our mobile application (the “App”) regarding information. We are committed to ensuring you have a clear understanding of how the App functions.

1. No Personal Data Collection by Church Nudge

Church Nudge is designed with your privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or data from App users.

  • No Accounts: The App does not require users to create an account, provide names, email addresses, or any other personal identifiers.
  • No User-Specific Data: We do not track individual user activity within the App.
  • No Member Contact Data Stored: Church Nudge does not collect or store member phone numbers or personal data. Members connect to church content via a simple church code or QR scan. There is no central database of your members’ contact information.

2. How the App Connects to Your Church

  • Church Code Entry/Scanning: To access your church’s content, you will either manually enter a unique church code provided by your church or use the App’s camera to scan a church-linked QR code. This action simply directs the App to load content relevant to that specific church.
  • No Connection to Personal Identity: The church code or QR scan is a content access key, not a personal identifier. We do not link these actions to any individual user.

3. Camera Access (QR Code Scanning Only)

  • The Church Nudge App may request access to your device’s camera. This access is strictly for the sole purpose of scanning church-linked QR codes to retrieve and display specific church information or interact with designated church content.
  • We do not record, store, or transmit any images or videos from your camera roll or live feed. Your camera is only activated within the App for this specific scanning function, and no visual data leaves your device or is processed by Church Nudge. You can control the App’s access to your camera through your device’s settings. Denying access will prevent you from using the QR code scanning feature.

4. Push Notifications (Bulletin Updates)

  • The App may offer the ability to receive push notifications for bulletin updates from your selected church.
  • These notifications are managed by your device’s operating system (e.g., iOS or Android) and your church’s content provider, not by Church Nudge’s collection of your personal data. We do not track whether you receive or interact with these notifications personally. You can manage notification preferences directly in your device settings.
  • Consent for Notifications: By downloading the app and registering the church code, you give explicit consent to receive notifications and notices from the registered church. This consent complies with GDPR and data protection laws worldwide.

5. Information Collected by Third Parties (Churches/Content Providers)

  • While Church Nudge itself collects no personal data, please be aware that the content displayed within the App is provided by individual churches. These churches or the platforms they use to manage their content (e.g., their website, external event registration systems) may have their own privacy policies regarding any data you provide to them directly.
  • Church Nudge is not responsible for the privacy practices of individual churches or any third-party websites/services linked within the App. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of your specific church and any linked external services.

6. Data Security

Since Church Nudge does not collect or store any personal data from App users, there is no personal data for us to secure. We maintain the security of our App’s code and infrastructure to protect against unauthorised access or manipulation of the public content delivery system.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our App is designed to display general church information and does not collect personal data from any users, including children.

7. Church Responsibilities

The church agrees to abide by and is responsible for all notices and events in compliance with data protection laws.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

9. Contact Us
